Finding inspiration can sometimes be a touchy thing. Many designers, when searching for ideas, look through design galleries, but there are sometimes problems with this method. When taking inspiration from similar mediums, there can be a fine line between “inspired by” and “copied”. For website design, looking at existing websites can also be limiting, especially if you’re looking for a solution to a new problem.
I expect in future posts we'll refer to a variety of sources for inspiration, both offline and on.
For now, one place we might point you to where we often look for inspiration is Coolhunter, a regularly updated pool of all-things-design that inspires and always awes us. The website is deep - pace yourself!
Coolhunter provides examples of design in all areas - fashion, architecture, interior design, photography, commercial and package design, the natural world, crafts, music, travel, gadgets, events, food and, you guessed it: treelife!
Get ready to be inspired!
